B.C.’s answer to photo enforcement. An exceptionally well done
site and a great source of Canadian information. They have
graciously allowed our site to use their information.

When I asked Sgt Butcher about the information he used in his
“research” in to photo enforcement, one of the things he mentioned
was the Washington DC police. Here is a four part expose on
their system. A must read article.

England is very progressive in the use of surveillance and camera
technology, They not only have the usual stop light and speed
cameras (not just at intersections) they can issue tickets for
failing to wear your seatbelt and soon for following to close.

The UK has over 6000 speed cameras and counting. Another great
site for a country that is plagued by surveillance and is a
forefront in automated enforcement technologies. Check out the
section on cameras that have been attacked.

An interesting
articles about How the police department, ACS and the courts collude
to stack the the odds in there favor. It also reviles the that
much of what the public hears is a carefully planed script provided
by ACS in order to increase convictions and reduce public back lash.
The similarities to Winnipeg, ACS, The National Campaign to Stop Red
light running, and our own Sergeant Butcher is down right eerie.
